Within the 3 year expiry date of your First Aid at Work Qualification you can requalify by attending this 2 day ( 12 hour ) requalification course. Evidence of a current and valid certificate will need to be presented to absolute first aid training prior to the commencement of the course. If your qualification expires you will have to attend the 3 day First Aid at Work course.

Emergency First Aid for the Appointed Person
Appointed persons are used to cover first aiders in their unforeseen absence from work. This course covers, Calling for an Ambulance dealing with emergencies, legal requirements of first aid, and basic first aid skills including CPR On successful completion the candidate will be awarded a certificate which is valid for 3 years, in compliance with H.S.E. guidelines

Paediatric First Aid Level 3
This 12 hour course is designed for those working in child care, and satisfies the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage and OfSTED . The course covers:

• Medical emergencies

Emergency Paediatric First Aid
This qualification is designed for individuals wishing to gain the knowledge and skills required to enable them to provide effective emergency paediatric first aid. It is ideal for pre-school or nursery staff, toddler group volunteers and childminders. It is also suitable for parents, relatives and foster carers.
Topics include:
• the roles and responsibilities of a paediatric first-aider
• assessing an emergency situation safely
• CPR and AED
• administering first aid to a choking infant or child
• putting a casualty in the recovery position
• dealing with shock, bleeds, bites, stings and minor injuries

Automated External Defibrillator training
The use of Automated External Defibrillators has been shown to considerably improve the chances of survival for those in cardiac emergencies, therefore more and more companies are investing in A.E.D.s and training for their staff.
This 3 hour course covers the use of A.E.Ds and resuscitation, on successful completion the candidate will receive a certificate valid for 3 years.

Anaphylaxis training
Aimed at anyone who has the responsibility for the administration of adrenaline auto-injectors to children suffering from anaphylaxis in their care. This 2 hour course is delivered by a Registered General Nurse in compliance with OfSTED guidelines.
